At Sandblasting Company, we pride ourselves on taking on the toughest challenges in surface preparation. Our recent project in Waltham Abbey was no exception. A waterproofing company from Manchester, Trace Basements, required expert sandblasting services to remove plasticized paint from concrete walls in a 2,000 sq. ft. basement. This task demanded both precision and endurance, and our team was more than ready to deliver.

A Labour-Intensive Challenge
This project was a true test of manpower, requiring approximately 350 hours of labour. With two dedicated shot blasting teams working continuously, we operated three high-capacity air compressors to ensure the job was completed efficiently. Over 12 tons of materials ran through our machines, underscoring the sheer scale of this undertaking.
More Than Just Sandblasting
Our client needed the full package, and we were happy to oblige. Beyond just paint removal, our responsibilities included a comprehensive cleanup. This entailed cleaning and bagging over 500 bags of waste, each meticulously carried up the stairs for proper disposal in waste skips. The physical demand of this process was immense, requiring teamwork, strategy, and unwavering commitment from every member of our crew.
A Team Effort to be Proud Of
This project was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Sandblasting Company team. Tackling such an intensive job required skill, coordination, and relentless effort. We are proud to have successfully completed the task, leaving behind a clean, paint-free surface ready for the next phase of waterproofing.
If your project demands the highest standard of sandblasting expertise, look no further than Sandblasting Company. We bring the experience, manpower, and dedication needed to get the job done right—no matter the scale.

Our Clients' Review - Google Business Profile
"I have just had the pleasure of using Matt and The Sandblasting Company Ltd on a large-scale existing basement in Essex, where we are the structural waterproofing contractor employed to provide the client with a high-end habitable space. We used Matt and his team to remove an extremely well-adhered, problematic and thick waterproofing layer that had been applied to the block walls for nearly 20 years and had failed, allowing water into the basement. This, therefore requiring removal and a good surface to be left in which a new product could be properly applied to. The service that Matt provided was second to none given the difficult task at hand. He undertook test trails on the material to be removed prior to starting work so that he could provide an accurate quote. He provided daily update videos of the works that had been done and completed the task in a timely manner, leaving the site clean and ready for the follow-on trades to start immediately. I would recommend Matt and will be using his services again in the future."
Thanks from Phil at Trace Basements.
