Duration: Approximately 10 hours
Service: Brickwork Graffiti Removal
At Sandblasting Company, we recently completed a specialist graffiti removal project at Sidcup Youth Centre, working alongside Cook & Lock Ltd and the main contractor for Sidcup Council. This project required a particularly sensitive and skilled approach due to the nature of the damage and the delicate condition of the brickwork.
Unlike typical graffiti removal tasks involving only surface paint, this case presented a unique challenge — graffiti had been both etched into the face of the brickwork and spray-painted across the surface. This meant that standard abrasive blasting methods could risk further damage if not carefully managed.
Meeting our clients' graffiti removal request
Our team worked closely with the main contractor to fully understand the desired finish and ensure the restoration aligned with the council’s refurbishment goals for the youth centre. Using precision-controlled sandblasting techniques, we carefully removed both the etched and painted graffiti without compromising the integrity or texture of the brick.
The result was a clean, uniform finish that restored the original appearance of the building, making it ready for the next stages of the refurbishment.
Cook & Lock Ltd were extremely pleased with the outcome, allowing them to continue their renovation works with confidence, knowing that the building’s exterior now reflects the quality of the project as a whole.
This project demonstrates our commitment to delivering sensitive, high-quality restoration work — whether for heritage sites, local councils, or commercial refurbishments.
